Female or Male?

Hi guys! I recently acquired two clowns, one a picasso and another a davinci. There seems to be a little bullying going on from the picasso and I am wonder if they are both females. I'm not sure the age of either specimen so what signs should I look for to determine the sex? I got the davinci less than 24 hours before I put the picasso in and I'm a little worried. The picasso is a little bit larger (~.3 inches) and is about 2 inches. From my understanding the change in sex is a one way route (male-->female) and the addition of two females results in a battle to the death. I see the davinci twitching when near the picasso which I believe is a sign of submission. The davinci was with another smaller one, but I don't think they were a mated pair. This is day one for them being together so they may just be sorting things out. Would love you guys input. TY!

I had the same thing going on in my tank. I know that I put two females in. Like you said the smaller females would twich to the other. That is a sing of submission. My two clowns have been in a tank together now for over a year and host an RBT togater.

It sounds like the DaVinci is still a juvie at about 1 1/2"s, & it's doing the 'epileptic seizure' shaking is a good sign of it trying to bond w/ larger Picasso. Keep an eye on them & separate if aggression gets worse & you see torn fins or mouth locking. It's fascinating behavior to watch a pair bond formed. Good luck!
