Here is the tank top down in the middle. The clam at the bottom I got when it was an inch long. You can see my clown in relation to it

Here is a cool coral I have grown from a 1/2 inch frag. Just took my first two frags from it, once they heal will be offering them. The polyps are perfectly round. Dont know name of it

Here is the right side with my galaxia and cap that I got brown but has turned a nice green

Lastly is a coral I got about a year ago as a single stick. Has grown very well and the blue is unbelievable

Tank looks a lot better than when I saw it 6-7 months ago ! You get some awesome growth !

I should think, if you remember I was rearranging it so it was torn to hell.

I will take a pic of that small frag you gave me. It was a 2 inch single piece if you remember. BRB

Thats true, but looks very established and aged in such a short time, because of the amount of growth ! Would like to see the frag pic, probably a colony by now ?

Here is the growth from the frag. Its touching the side of the tank and has two bases there about the size of a nickle. The whole thing has grown to about the size of 2 golfballs from a single straight frag

What would you give credit for causing such good growth?

My SPS look good just don't seem to grow, more around the rock instead of height.

Looks good Clark! You should start a tank thread here and show off your whole system. so people can see what it takes to have an awesome tank like yours.

I would but I am a bit embarrassed at what I do (or lack of doing) I am about the laziest reefer here. Here is what I mean:

1. I dont know the names of most of my stuff (just if I like how they look)

2. I dont dose unless I think about it and seldom test or add stuff

3. I add water only when my return pump is pushing airbubbles into main tank, and then I dump in 10 gallons of fresh to mix with the salt (that CANT be good for salinity changes)

4. Havent touched my reactor in a month

5. I feed the tank only when my wife reminds me, and usually its just the frozen cubes. I have actually just tossed in the frozen cubes and watched my larger fish carry them around until they thawed in the tank LOL

6. I do water changes about every 3 months and then I change out about 50% of the water

7. My sump looks like crap, with red algae I cant get rid of, but it never makes it to the main tank (lucky me)

8. I have never target fed a thing

But aside from all that, my tank thrives and I cant keep up with my growth. I have snapped frags and just stuck them in rocks and had them grow nicely within a month or so. I figure I get over an inch of growth a month from some of my frags, others are much smaller

My softies I cant keep up with. I got some orange zoos from griss around oct or nov about 8 polyps, I have fragged it twice and still have about 120 or so in the tank now. Its getting too big for the space again and crowding my elkhorn

Sorry this got so long. I may try and put up a few more pics tonight. I think the amount of live rock also helps more then we figure ( I have close to 400 lbs in the 175)

Thanks for all the nice comments, even from you Steve:lol:

Im glad to see your water changes go from every six months to every three !

The cyano in the sump is a good thing, dont worry about it. It is taking in nutrients just like everything else, and it's biproduct is Oxygen.

well, I say three months, but I made that decision after my last water change 2 months ago, so..............

we will see:D

 yeah I said the same thing the last time I did mine for the first time 2 weeks ago that I will start doing them atleast every 2-3 months.. we will see...

KEEP ME IN MIND IF YOU DECIDE TO FRAG THE SECOND AND LAST PIX PLEASE.Sorry bout the caps but to lazy to retype it with the hunt and peck method I use.

As you can see in the second pic I just took my first two frags off and am letting them attach to some rock right now. Once the are available I will let everyone know.
