Hey Everyone!
So I am moving in a few weeks and have had a successful 75G Reef tank which I had to breakdown:sad2:. I have since transfered all my corals and approximately 20LBS of LR to a 20G Long. Here are a few questions that I was hoping you all could answer for me.
1. I have a eShopps RS-100 Gen 3 Sump which I used to run a refugium in with NO protein skimmer. Since I am resetting up in a few weeks, I have considered not using a refugium and strictly using an in sump Protein Skimmer. Any thoughts on brands or recommendations on which I should use or look at?
2. Has anyone had success using "Real Reef Rock?" As in www.realreefrock.com? Pros/Cons would be great. Thinking of using my current 20/25 lbs of live rock and adding another 40lbs of real reef rock.
3. Finally my major concern is the moving process, I will need to break down my 20G Long for the move. Since I will need a day or two to reset up the 20G, what is the best method for transport and keeping everything alive? Please keep in mind I have no Fish, they all have been donated, we are speaking strictly corals.
Thank you in advance for your help and answers to my questions... before you even ask, once the 75G is setup and complete, I will be converting the 20G Long to a QT in my new home. Cant wait to have a massive room simply for my fish supplies and work area!!
