Had the itch for some closeup shots of the corals tonight. Shot with Canon 70D with 100mm lens, handheld no tripod.

This has grown into a beautiful colony, but I don't know what kind of coral it is. Its Green with magenta polyps in the middle and then chalkish with the magenta polpys at the edge. Colony is about 6.5" across but only a couple of inches tall. If you recognize the coral please let me know what you think it might be.

I like that milli with potential, it looks like a sweet sunset. I actually have a frag of this so it was nice to seeing one bigger than mine. [emoji106]

I don't sell anything, when it gets to big then I trade or give away. The grafted monti is an ego trip for me. Outside of WWC everyone has small pieces and there aren't too many colony shots. I want to see how big a colony I can get out of it. Of course where it's located is in the front right corner of the tank. So in a few more inches I am going to have to start trimming it as it gets closer to the glass (I'll try to remember to hit you up for a trade then ) . Colony is about 5.5" now.


Coralnerd, I got this as a tiny nub of a frag. I think when I got it was orange and yellow. But as it's been just slowly creeping up in size its seem to be getting more colors. I'm hoping like some millies it gets to this size with several branches and the growth rate just starts to take off.



Dodger/Rik, I posted it on Facebook and a couple of people said pearlberry there too. How is your planted tank? I need to do a major trimming of mine before Thanksgiving. Do you need plants?

I'm still doing my Corey impersonation. I have AlanLe from the planted forum building my dual output regulator right now and I just ordered heaters which will be here next week. I'm going to post all my tanks and equipment for sale this weekend on the forums and hopefully be good to go. I won't be ready by Thanksgiving.

The dual output regulator is cool, although with mine the CO2 bottle wants to topple over from all the weight hanging off the top of it.

Send pics when you get yours. Mine is up and running but I am short a transformer for the second solenoid and haven't had a chance to get one yet.
