Few things...

Hey all...been a little while since I have been on.

Just wanted to throw a few things out there:

1) I have a hammer coral that is growing like crazy...wierd because I am not dosing anything and I have't done a water change in, uh...a while. Anyway, I would like to frag this for a friend and I am not sure how to do it. Does anyone have any experience with this??

2) I also have a toadstool that is obnoxiously huge...anyone need a frag. I'll cut ya a hunk if you want it.

3) I am having a little aptasia problem...even though I kill em off (well I try) about every month. What do you all recommend...peppermint shrimp or a copperband or anything else?? I feel a little better about the peppermints because I understand the butterflys are hard to keep. But...I have a blue-jaw that is good size and I am afraid he may kill off the peppermints before they can get the job done.

Thanks all!! Hope everyone is doing well and don't forget to VOTE! Unless you are going to vote for "that guy". Interpret that however you want ;)

yeah the blue jaw will most likely kill the peppermints..... i would start looking around for a copperband that already eats frozen food then you won't have an issue keeping it

I have tried Joes Juice...but they ALWAYS come back. And trust me...I give em a good healthy dose - stick it right in their mouth and they close up for about a month, but come back stronger and bigger the next time.

I need something to eat them I think...otherwise, I just kill em once a month and forget about it...some are getting large. Most are on the back of rocks so I can't see them unless I take the back off and check it out from there. But...I know they are there and it peeves me off!!

aptasia X has done wonders in my tank. I nail the big ones with that and let the 2 peps to take care of the little ones. working good so far

emeralds are supose to eat them but mine only touch the real small ones. my 5 inch copper band does not touch the bigger ones either. sorry i couldnt help any

Hey Frank... I have some AptasiaX if you want it. I have a couple peppermint shrimp as well. Between using lemon juice, AptasiaX and the shrimps haven't seen an aptasia in couple months now. The downfall for you are your triggers. They'll make the shrimp very short lived. One work around for ya is to get a divider separate the rock/aptasia and shrimp with it until they can get their job done.

The Toadstool and Kenya tree that I got from you before are doing great! They both quadrupled in size!

I know how to frag Hammerheads, similar to fragging Frogspawn. I can stop by if and help you out on Sunday after church if you would like (if you don't mind if 2 little guys tagging along.)
