You'd do better with nassarius snails than the fighting conch's. IMO I've got two of the large ones and half a dozen or so of the little guy's. Great snails!

Wrong, fighting conch eats algae, nassadius dont, totally different.

I keep hearing that they don't eat algae but mine sure do spend a lot of time in it LOL

I'll be adding a fighting conch when I get my 40b in a few weeks. Petco $ per gallon sale time again

I am absolutely in love with Marvin (named after the boxer Hagler!). No exaggeration he did about 4 laps around the perimeter yesterday. My sand is cleaner than it was since probably the 1st month the tank was setup. I think I'll be supplementing this guys food. May try a small piece of Nori on rock rubble tonight. He's finally sleeping. I can't believe how much he devoured. An open sand bed is definitely key in my opinion.
