Fighting conch

I got a medium one the other day. He or she seems fine. 25 gal tank should be enough substrate for him to eat well ? Any problems i shouls watch for with him. one thing i like about this snail he can right himself easily. Why is he called fighting conch ?

These things get several inches big so he will probably outgrow your tank. I would worry about having him enough to eat in your substrate. They do not tend to climb on rockwork, but rather stay on/in the sand. They are very cool to watch the way the pick themselves up and "jump" over stuff.

They are called 'fighting' conchs because their shells look like a helmet...not a football helmet but like a trojan or spartan military helmet.

Mine stayes in the sand at night, but in the day I find him on the glass and rock work.

i have never seen mine on the rock or glass, sometimes i think mine is going to break my glass he picks himself up then slams against the glass hard.
