If I have two peacock mantis shrimps - one about 4.5" and the other about 1.8" - would they kill each other if housed for a period of say 6 months in a 47g tank together, assuming enough LR on opposite ends of the tank to keep their burrows separated?

The bigger one has lost both "raptorial"? appendages...

IMO too big of a risk. Very high chance at least one animal will die, especially if they molt. Which is likely as when they lose both rapts they tend to molt much faster

Yes it is. Leopard spots just behind the neck... Maybe he is 2.2"... difficult to say. But he is at least 1/2 the size of the bigger one.

IMO that's just asking for trouble! If you have to keep them in a tank together for a bit I'd use a divider, it might not look as nice but at least you know they can't have a go at each other.
Especially seeing the larger one has no defense at the moment...
