Filamented Flasher Wrasse on DD today...

I agree with the P. cyaneus ID.

It's worth noting the two can be hard to tell apart though. You really have to note the number of dorsal filaments and the pattern/lines on the body.
 
Thanks Hunter. Didn't realize they could be hard to tell apart. Was thinking about picking up a P. filamentosus, but maybe I'll go with a McCosker's instead so they are less similar in appearance.
 
They can be. But typically they're notably different.

McCosker's is certainly more different. :)

Didn't someone on this forum receive a yellow fin flasher instead of mccoskers they ordered?

That was from the regular LA. DD is run separately and is usually pretty accurate, wheras regular LA will get id's of similar species mixed up, but their customer service is top notch, so they correct their mistakes.
