Hi everyone,
I have a filefish that has a swollen mouth. It is almost like there is a bubble ring around it. So far she is eating but I don't know how long my luck will hold on that one.

Any ideas what this may be and how to treat it? I've isolated her in a hospital tank for now but I haven't started any meds. I am hoping you can help me with suggestions on what I should use.

Thanks!

ok, lets try again. I can see my pictures but they don't show up on my tapatalk. I'll try attaching instead.

Ok, so maybe if someone could just tell me what the best broad spectrum antibiotic is. I guess an actual diagnosis isn't really as important as getting her some meds asap. Right now I'm feeding her Dr G's antibiotic medicated fish food. The active ingredients are Kanamycin & Metronidazole.
I think I'd rather add something to the water since her infection is somewhat external. Would Metronidazole be the best thing for something like this?

Also, I wanted to add that I think this all started after she ran into a rock with her mouth. Maybe she injured it and the injury got infected? But it looks like pockets of infection instead of an infected cut or something.

Anyway, some direction from the experts would be much appreciated. I'm still rather new to all of this and I don't know medications very well.
