I made a sort of canister filter for the outlet side of my saltwater container. I filled it with a rolled up Blue Bond filter pad. I did this because of the brown residue I keep getting in my saltwater container. I don't want to add it to my DT. I do a 15 gallon water change once a week on a 120 gallon reef tank so I'd like to know if the wet filter pad would be a problem in between the water changes. I'll probably change the pad once a month. Any advice would be helpful.
