Hello All,
I have a 46 bowfront in my living room. I havent decided if its going to be a reef or FOWLR. I built a 10 gal refugium under the tank. Everything is set up and the tank is cycled. THE PROBLEM, the water dissipates at a high rate. I have to add about 16ozs per day. If I do not keep up with it I get bubbles blowing into the tank. When I built the set up I did not take in to consideration is that my house is extremely dry. I am sure this is the cause to the problem. This wouldn't be a problem but I am not home every day. Other than having a humidifier hooked up to my HVAC what else can I do? An auto top off is not an option. Ditch the under tank refugium and go with a modified power filter? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Copper

Check your heater, it may be too hot. If you don't have a problem with heat, do you have a top on the tank or refugium? Even a partial top will cut down on evaporation.
