So, I have a canister from my planted tank.
I have a 40b - got about 26# of live rock and 11# dry. - Can get more when I get back to the store which is an hour away. And 40# of live sand.
I just set it up tonight. I'm running the canister for the moment with just a little bit of matrix and a bio-sorb carbon. I'm running it only for flow at the moment - and to clear up the cloudy water from the sand.
I have 2 hydor korilias 600 on either side.
Question is - would an Aquaclear 110 be better and EASIER than running the canister (assuming I fill it up with more media).
I want easy as possible.
Will get a HOB reef octopus as well.
The canister isn't that bad to clean but I think a HOB would be easier. Do I even need a filter if I get more live rock?
Thank you!! Sorry I keep asking about filters.
