Fin Rot?

I have had this pair of gold stripe maroon clowns and rbta for almost an month and have noticed this problem mainly with the smaller male. The other morning i saw him in this condition and took a pic. He just started feeding the anemone and was not eating as much. The pic is kind of bad, those are not holes in the fin it just has no color and is translucent. I fed them and about an hour or two later he was back to normal except for a slit in the anal fin. Is this fin rot? Also the the very edges of pectoral fins on both clowns are translucent. Is this normal?

What would case this? Every thing that i read about fin rot says that poor water is the main cause. I check my water twice a week and the only thing i noticed was my no3 went to 5ppm the first week after adding them.
