Finally a new store in hialeah

there is a new store in hialeah it is on 49 street and 12 ave were the dunkin donuts is it just opened up so they dont have any coral yet but they have a decent amount of dry goods a a decent price and some fish just giving u guys a heads up just in case u are still going to amazon :sad2:

i checked it out recently, ive been going to amazon for some of my stuff, i checked out this new place and it looks pretty neat, he's got some huge fish in there, and he has a long tank with a huge reef shark and a ray in the same tank, when i went he had a bunch of corals in the middle of the store, the prices arent that bad... pretty cool, i was scared to buy from him though since i hadnt heard from him..

i have no idea what that was all about but first of all i am not promoting anything, second of all i have been to that store maybe 3 times why would i promote someone i have only met 3 times and finally i have been a part of this forum long enough to no the rules, unfortunatley u got banned and now i cant pm u to see why u would post something so retarded w/o even knowing who i am. that was a nice way of introducing yourself to this community :sad1:. guys in all honestly i just wanted to share with members of my area of a new store in my area like i said before there were NO GOOD STORES before in hialeah and it is nice to see a new store that looks like they are headed in the right direction as far as customer service and on hand dry goods.

So true, we have seen it happen. The mods will get irritated about having to sort legit reviews from the astroturf spam, and will forbid any mention, even obliquely, of the store. You are far better off letting your store speak for itself via good products, prices and service, and the let legitimate reviewers spread the word for you.

You're welcome to post whatever you want. It just looks silly for your first post to be suggesting that a store is great. It looks like you're a store owner (which you've disclosed that you're not) who is trying to generate fake positive feedback of their store (which has happened more than a few times in THIS forum).

Generally, a "quality" first post is one introducing yourself to the group, why you're here, what you keep now, what goals you may have for being here, etc. We're a very welcoming and helpful community, and we're more than happy to help out and get you going to where you want to be.

Our community suffers when people "shill" their stores, and that's why it's up to us now to admonish it, because if the RC mods come in here to control it, they'll start looking at all of the posts, so the User Agreement is very strictly enforced when that happens, and when the UA is strictly observed, it becomes a hassle for more than just the frequent abusers. (Yes, we shouldn't be breaking the UA to begin with, and we generally never directly violate it, but sometimes there are some fringe discussions)

So anyway, welcome to the community, sorry for the confusion/difficulties.

I kinda went through the same thing when i first joined the R/C. Like Reef Wreck said its happened before where a store owner or some one that works for that store has posted coments with regards to their store. maybe if you would of stared you first thread a little diferent it would not have been such a big deal. but like i said i made the same mistake when i first joined but since then ive made great friends and met alot of wonderul and Knowledgeable people who have helped me alot.
so with all that being said, welcome.
