Any more pics of that fish Deane? Very well could be a disbar. Lip makes it look like one. The color and fins seem more like a bicolor to me though.

Here's a couple of others ...

It's probably still hard to tell for sure from those angles, I'll work on a better full image ... Rogger ... sry ... didn't mean to jack your thread ... :(

no problem, this is interested, Pat at reeflife had a bicolor a few weeks ago that I was tempted to buy from him, that fish had the "bicolor pattern" well defined, it was almost as if it was painted in the middle along the body with to different colors, this picture does not looks like that at all.

Rob has a Bi Color at exotic Aquatic...def not that....My vote still goes to Bartletts....You dont see them a whole lot anymore since they come from the Maldives...and that area is kinda hard toget from these days...

Rogger I had great luck with Anthias in the past, only lost them to the hurricanes two years ago, the main thing is starting with healthy specimens I used to buy them at Marine Scenes, Jan & Dan would not sell them unless they were healthy and eating unfortunately for me they relocated form Miami to Pompano Beach.

I believe that one of these could be a male and one a female, strictly due to coloring.

Here's a tip to tail on each:

I started with 5, lost 1 in the QT, have had the 4 others for about 6 months. They eat like pigs. They get fed the normal mix that I feed my tank and in addition they get live guppies about once a week. They go nuts for those. There has been one occasion when 1 jumped out, but that was during a feeding and I was standing right at the tank, almost caught him in mid air, returned him back to the tank and all has been well since. The three bright pink ones swim together, every once in a while the 3 will do this crazy dance with the 4th for about 30 minutes then back to their routine. i really like these fishes.

I am seriously concern with my Anthias, they are still not eating and I doubt at this point they will make it, I guess I should have not rush to get them, on the other hand the wrasses are all doing great.
I have never heard of anthias going after live Guppies, I may try that.

Anthias do require a rather high O2 levels and they love live food, just make sure they're little guppies, not itty-bitty, just small-ish.

Rogger I had a perfect specimen ,a gorgous Bartlett that seemed overly shy and I could not get him to eat anything. After 2 weeks it died with no sign of sickness at all.Im wondering if something went wrong during collecting as others report them as being zealous eaters.
