I think it's from Bali, that's why he's spending a week or two in the frag tank, rather than in the main tank where he would be almost impossible to catch. he's got plenty of frags to munch on in the frag tank, so we'll see......

Imagine catching him in here.........

very nice!!

as far as the waiting deal goes, i know how you feel...J/K

hows the side job coming along???

nice tank concept 3 - how do you like the tunze pumps - i was thinking about getting two myself - where did you buy yours from?

I'm fascinated!

I never realized that any large sized angels could be candidates for reefs and tanks in the 75 gallon range. I just assumed it was dwarf angels or nothing.

What angel possibilities exist for 75 gallon? I will have mostly LPS in mine.

Thanks for the compliment :D
I love the tunzes!!! I must admit I'm curious about the new Ecotech pumps that Icecap is coming out with. I might have to give that a try when they come out.

At 15 watts for each pump @ 1850 gph, I think I save a good amount of electricity and heat, compared to the 4 Maxijet 1200's @ 20W each and 295 gph I used to have, not to mention the sweet control you have with the Tunzes and non-linear flow.

Bought mine at Aquarium center in Clementon/Blackwood on a whim, buy the pumps online and save on tax. Tunze regulates the pricing, so it would be close in $$$ anywhere you buy from.

The regal angel only grows to an average size of 4-6" and is one of the very few reef safe angels for a reef tank. Another very good candidate is the Goldflake angel which gets about the same size as an adult. I was originally gonna try and get the Goldflake angel, but it was taking too long, hence the regal. Bill, for pricing and some info, look at marinecenter dot com. (No, I did not buy the regal there- are you kiddin? $$$$$$$$)

On a similar topic- the regal is eating like a pig! He's come out a lot more today, picking at all the little copepods in the frag tank. My fiancee's friends came over for a few hours, and named the fish "Angelina", the other tang was named "Brad"......... go figure, LOL

Sweet fish Merv.. That's the trick too, get 'em a little smaller, and they take to prepared foods easier..

Good luck with the little guy!!

yeh mine is a good angel.. doesnt pick at anything.. urs is the philippine/indo morph correct? cuz it has the grey chest... mine is from the red sea and has a yellow chest..

i was thinkin bout selling it actually to make room for a bunch of anthias..
