After couple days of trying and 5 hours today, tearing my whole reef apart I finally caught this little sixline wrasstard !!!

I tried every trick in the book from using a tiny trout hook with myisis shrimp to using the pop bottle trap after not feeding for two days and none of it worked. I finally said screw it pulled the rock out of the water he was hiding in and stuck the net under the rock and I'll be damned the stupid thing falls out of the rock into the net. BAM

Nobody in my house understands why I'm happier then a pig in poop right now. The reason he needed to be pulled is because I just put him in a few days ago and he instantly started attacking both my blacker ice clowns and I was not having that after I spent the $$$ on the pair I didn't wasn't to risk them. After being in there for only 3 says the sixline did some damage to the clowns with tore fins I hope they heal up fine .

I also was estatic the day I finally was able to catch my six line. He would not let me add any smaller fish to the tank. I got lucky and he caught himself in the overflow one night. Prior to that I had tried a lot. I did not want to tear my tank apart.

Congrats
Joe

Thanks joe , I added him after the pair of clowns and a tang . The tank was peaceful until he was added I found one of the clowns on the overflow hours after adding that little wrasstard !! It's funny because I've had him for 7 months he was in my frag system with another pair of clowns and Disnt even bother them , but they are a bigger pair then the black ice. I love clowns this is why I tore my tank apart it's loaded with sps frags also but I just had to I couldn't watch the clowns get beat up lol thanks for the response

I have one that needs to come out for the same reason. I don't even have that many fish in my 150.

1 X Powder Blue
1 X Vlamingi
1 X Purple Tang
1 X Blue Chromis (there used to be 6 but a certain 6 line culled the herd)

I just added a black cap basslet and an orchid dottyback and the sixline won't leave either of them alone. It's really starting to peeve me. Tried getting him with a net the other day. HAHAHAHAHA, that didn't work well at all. Last time I EVER have a six line.....

It's a shame too because he is quite beautiful. Especially on his tail where it's a VERY pretty green/yellow.

I certainly understand your joy, I was there 3 weeks ago...tore apart my tank to get out a damsel. I was stupid for adding him. I am now VERY careful about any fish I add. I read, read, and then read again to make sure no one has had any problem with the fish.

I'm careful as to what I ad as well , the thing is he was peaceful with the pair of clown he was with before these guys but they are smaller which he did not like. I actually didn't even think twice about the size difference and thought they would be fine but boy was I wrong ...

I feel your pain. I am the luckiest guy on this thread. Mine was nipping at everything including my clams. Once lights were out he would scoot into a hole on a piece of live rock at the top off tank. Covered the hole with my finger and pulled the rock out.
