I went to the store yesterday and looked over their frag tanks and this caught my eye. Bought it and brought it home. This is why I like going to LFS and finding a jewel in the rough. Just thought I would share.
My fault...the purple ones in front. Just found the name on zoaid. sweet dreams it says. I also got those red zoas at the same time. I remember them being sold as burning man in a store in LA and for the price of one zoa I got 15 or so polyps on the rock at this other store...zoaid doesn't have burning man though. It might be something else.
thanks guys. I am really happen with them. I got home late and all the zoas are closed so pics this weekend of something else I found. In the pic the top purple one had one of those zoanthid eating spiders when I got it. I got him off asap...did a dip...and all looks ok. Man those spiders are wicked looking.
We do get the left overs here on the east, but there are times we see some nice ones come through the pet storm I work at. Tuesday we got a rock that is easily 4"x10" completely covered in radioactive dragon eyes. There must be 500 polyps and were only asking $50. If they are there on Friday I might scoop them up.
I think the problem where I am is not many people care about the named corals. It's just "oh that's pretty"
