Finally got my clowns!

Picked up a pair of perculas at the LFS a few weeks ago. They're both juveniles, so I hope they pair up eventually.

A week or so later I had my mom pick out a purple H. Crispa. Although, I'm not actually sure it's an H. Crispa. If pricing is any indication, it was $25.00, which seemed a little cheap. Doing my own research it kinda resembles a Condylactis in that I saw a somewhat long foot. I'll leave it to the pros. Of course, the perculas don't want anything to do with it right now. Not counting on them hosting it.

Healthy looking fish but I think they are false percula aka ocellaris. I'm no pro, but that anemone looks like a condy. I have seen pictures of ocellaris in a bubble tip, and a sebae but never a condy. I don't think they will host it but who knows with these clowns. People say they'll never host a bubble tip and then you see pictures of them in a bubble tip. I've also heard of a condy eating the clown that is trying to host it. NEways..congrads on your new clowns.:)

@ wicked, I orginally opted for ocellaris, but I noticed the black outlines on these are thicker than the ocellaris I saw at the LFS. I haven't tried counting their spines though.

@eklikewhoa, it's a nanocube HQI lamp:

@phender, thanks for the positive ID. Scouring the net now to gather relevant info. So far haven't seen anything to indicate that it's notorious for eating clowns. If someone knows or has evidence to believe otherwise, please share. It's going back to the LFS if true...

Couple more pictures with the light on, just in case the camera flash is misleading.

Still look like a Condylactis?

Perty little guys.

Very cool picture of the anemone. It still looks like a condy to me and they still look like ocellaris that have very healthy bright colors.

Here is my pair of ocellaris.

Definitely A. Ocellaris and a Condylactis anemone. They have been known to eat clowns that host in them, but it's not super common and it seems like most clowns keep their distance.
