Finally got my horses!!

I finally got a pair of erectus horses after 2 years of research and planning!! They arrived around noon today and are already eating like piggies!!

I got them from a breeder on seahorse.org (ID is SunShine).....they really are not that big (still juvies).....but they are beautiful!!

How did you get them to eat out of the scallop shell? That is very cool. They are beautiful.

What algae do you have in your tank and what is your tank temp?

When I get the food in the shell they eat out of it.....I am currently having probs getting the mysis in the shell, but they wait at the shell to eat knowing that is where food is supposed to be LOL!

I have Halmedia macro algea in my tank...I hope to get some red agleas too at some point.

And thank you I think they are beautiful too!! They are funny to watch too. My son laughs when they eat upside down!

You should see them now, Robin gets the tube in to drop the mysis in and they try to snick through the tube especially the female. I have even seen her bump the male over when they are both at the dish.
