Not really a question here, but after two years I seem to be finally growing chaeto in my sump. I got a gigantic sea hare because I have a lot of hair algae in my DT and ever since then I seem to be growing chaeto. The sea hare isn't gobbling up hair algae as I hoped it would, and neither does my lawnmower blenny. But the sea hare does produce a huge amount of waste. My skimmer has been going crazy and perhaps that is also why I have chaeto growth. So I suppose generally this is progress, and as I remove macro I finally will be exporting some nutrient the natural way. It hasn't hurt that my numbers have been really stable finally for quite some time. My skimmer is off 6 hours a day.
