Finally pulled the trigger...

I finally went ahead and purchased a Aquatinics TX5 T5 setup.
I must say I am really pleased so far. As most know my tank is composed primarily of LPS and softies. And everything seems to be very happy with the lighting switch. Also as far as I can tell my chiller has not run more then a couple times since the switch.
Th other really nice thing is this light basically sits on top of the tank and I get alomost zero light spillage compared to staring at 2x250 DE Mh's....I will see in a month or so how things are growing and maintaining....

The overcast weather lately probably didn't hurt reducing chiller time too.

Corey, so far I love this light. The fact it sits on top of the tank with very little overflow is very nice. It runs absolutely cool, can hold onto the fixture anywhere and it is room temperature. Untill a few months of elec. bills comes in to help see the savings but I feel they will be great. Not just because of the tank but the room stays 5 degrees cooler during tank lit times then before, this has to save on the A/C use as well.
All inhabitants seem very happy as well, I really have no SPS other then a Pocipilla which is just as well as before, but everything else is the same or better. Zoas are spreading and actually popping up where I could see no zoas before. I actually want to try a few simpler sps like montis with this light to see if it changes my luck. Actually I swear my fish are out more feeding and just hanging out then before also.
I have held onto my old fixture but am pretty much convinced this is a good move. So I think I will post it up over on the sales board or on EBAY...
Then again Time will tell and will be the true test. But so far so good.. Thanks for asking
Look forward to making it over to see your new setup sometime as well...

Good to hear! Were you looking to try Monit Caps? If so, I have a green frag of one and would be more than willing to give you to try out.
