Got an email today from Richard should have the 1st shipment on friday. Can't wait.

You won't be able to sleep thursday night for the excitement, and then you won't be able to sleep on friday night because you'll want to stay up all night watching the tank to see what you can find!

I thought I'd put these up today. The tank is an Aquapod 24, I built in a closed loop that exits on the front and added a Hydor Flow to the middle of the back wall. The 2 with LocLine are on a wavetimer, the Hydor is on always. The right rear chamber houses the Sapphire skimmer and will have some LR rubble in it. The water flow is ran off of 3 Maxijet 900's. I also added the Nanotuners 3.36 light upgrade, with Silenx dual fan upgrade. The lighting is at 108w of CF light.[

Niiiice tank! How do you like the sapphire so far? I'm thinking of upgrading to either it or a tunze skimmer. That's a very nice tank and I can't wait to see it with part 1, let alone part 2! :D

Thanks, I've done a bunch of work to get it ready. I haven't ran it in here yet, I had tons of bubbles on a test run but from what I have been told these take at least a week to break in. I'll put some info up as soon as the tank is further along and the skimmer is broke in.

Got Part 1 today! Got it in the tank , found a cuke of some kind not sure if it's gonna make it I haven't seen but the smallest movement, 1 pistol shrimp I kept him, a few snails and a keyhole limpit. I'll post some pics tomorrow after it settles a bit.

How?

Does everything in yjr tank start dying and it smell really bad?

My keyhole limpet has gone missing since yesterday...they are cool guys, but I'm thinking mine may have snuck into the back of my aquarium...I'm hoping to find him when I do my water change this weekend and clean back there.

Looking forward to some tank pics! :)

Now the fun begins!

We got a cucumber in Part 1 and it did not move alot at first. I moved it to a rock where it became pretty active for awhile before finding a spot it liked. Be sure to read RedWarrior77's post about telling whelk snails from the "good" snails:

Can't wait to see the pictures!

Here is a pic. I got some extra rubble to put in the back, it fills the backe where my pumps and skimmer don't fill. It is all up front for now during the cycle in case I need to clean something off or anything like that. I looked at the snails that I could find today and no bad guys, also found another hermit. Did a partial water change due to Amonia reading. Heres a pic from today.

No

these cukes are non toxic unlike indo cukes.....when a cuke from the gulf dies, it just turns to a pile of white snot...that you vacuum out!

There is a bunch of rubble in there too, it is going to go in the back of the tank behimd the false wall I just have it all up in the front for now for the cycle. It is alot easier to get too if I need to. I did find a few cup corals on some and 1 that looks like a ball with a bunch of small polyps on it. It was open a bit last night.
