I've always wanted to raise clowns but have always lacked the means. I had a breeding pair way back in 2004 (Clark and a 2 band I think) but never attempted to raise any fry. This time I have a pair of sa fancy percs (I think its a hybrid?) They have been showing signs the last few months doing the mating seizure and hanging out in the same spot but I haven't seen the male cleaning yet.
Last night I ordered everything I need to culture nanachloropus and some resting rotifiers so I could at least get that step in the process figured out. I am going to start out with a small green water setup to try my hand for a while before I increase in size. Then I will start growing rots maybe this spring.
So and secrets or tips y'all care to share? I've read a lot on the subject but sometimes there are little tricks that only experience can teach that I'd like to figure out before I learn the hard way!
