Finally trying some of Rod's food.

I have heard such great things about it for so long. The problem with not trying it before is that I have almost no spare time at all to go to see Rod to get some. I have only been to his place once about 18 months ago and have not had the time to get there since.

I am sure that I paid considerably more buying it from Premium Aquatics but it simply was the only way that I was going to be able to get some. I bought 2 packages so they should last for awhile because I am going to be mixing it into the other frozen cubes that I already feed (except for tonight). I am very curious to see how my fish react and hopefully my regal angel will take to it and start eating the prepared foods.

I will follow up tomorrow with what I see in my tank.

It makes for great entertainment when we have friends over, my hippo tang literally comes out of the water when I throw some in the tank(I don't even thaw it, he's like a Piranaha), bristle worms start coming out with the lights on, crabs go crazy. I hold Rod in the highest regards, but regardless of who this stuff comes from it is truely a sight to see at feeding time. Hope your tank enjoys it as much as mine does.

i ordered 2 pacages of rods food from premium aquatics are supposed to be there today always wanted to try but a little to far to go so ordered it

tryed it fish went nuts over it and its a huge package i thought it would be the size of a reg frozen food about 3 times that great stuff rod

My fish reacted just as others have experienced. Great product and I will always keep some on hand from now on.

Did your Regal Angel take it too?

Unfortunatly not, but I am still hoping.

If anything ever happends to Rod, will we have to initiate an intervention and send our aquatic pets to rehab? I don't know if any of mine can handle drying out? They don't remember a life before Rod's food. I caught my Tang main lining it the other day and his eyes are still watery.

Lol, man, i just started in the hobby at the end of last year and I am so glad i'm lucky enough to live like 15 minutes away from Rod

Lucas9, there are only two ways to get it, as follows:

1. From Rods-reef directly - drive to DeKalb....

2. Online from Premium Aquatics - no driving but you have to pay for box, ice and shipping.....

One warning for you: IF you drive to Rods, be prepared to spend some time viewing, learning, discussing and likely buying.... I've never gone to Rods without buying much more than the food!:D

FiberLux, thanks a lot. I will try keeping your advice in mind. I will leaving all plastic at home, just in case. haha
