Now I have to figure out how to raise these baby. Too late for this patch but for the future :D ..

Congrats:)!

How big are these percs?

What kind of turnover do you have? I wouldn't have known there was a lot of flow if I had not seen the video.

They are right under the PH. That's why there are a lot of flows in that area. I think I do have a lot of flow for a softy tank. The return pump is about 500-600GPH and I have two Tunze 6000s for circulation.

:( all the eggs are gone.. Is this normal for first time? How can I prevent this from happening again? Any ideas guys??

Not sure if it happens first time, but my Bangaii wouldn't keep the clutch of eggs in his mouth for almost a year he either kept spitting them out or eating it.

After a year (they wait until I go on vacation) he goes ahead and hatches them out into the tank <sigh>. Give them time they'll lay eggs again. Practice makes perfect

My clown pair at work lays eggs every couple of weeks. They hatch and then they become fish food.

I've never bred clowns, but I have some similair experience as yours. I also have a breeding pair of false percs and the exact same thing happened. The first batch just dissapeard the next day. Not sure who ate them. The following batches stayed until hatching. You'll also noticed that each batch will have more and more eggs up to a point. Soon you'll be able to see the eyes through the eggs around day 5 and up. Somewhere around there. They usually hatch in about 7 days. Mines have been laying eggs consistenly every week or two for a year now. It has crossed my mind to breed them, but not at the moment. Mine usually tend to lay their eggs just when the first halide comes on. Just my observation. They always choose the same location it seems like. Mine also have several hosts. The male tends to stay with the gonipora, which is right next to the nest. The female however is funny. She has several hosts. During the day she'll switch between the gonipora and alveopora, and at night she sleeps in the hammer  Good luck with yours. They sure are fun to watch.

Eileen, are those at work some of mine? Just curious as it's interesting to keep touch with the 2nd generation spawners.

Robin

Nope, sorry not those.

The ones at work are False Perculas.

The ones I have at home are going through the courtship behaviour though.

Thanks guys.. I'm going to get a book and a breeder tank so I will be ready for the future batches :D ..

Aquarium Concepts has 10gal AGA tanks on sale for $6.99 right now. I just picked up a couple for my clownfish grow out system.

edit: mobert might have some growout tanks.
