Finding a clown for a Haddoni

I've had no luck getting my clowns (ORA midnights aka occelaris) to take the haddoni as its host.. What about oynx? I used to have premium snowflakes clowns that took the haddoni.. thought the midnights would take it too but no go. Its been about a year now.. I finally was able to capture the clowns today... Will I have better chance with perculas or same odds?

I know their natural fishs are the saddlebacks but I dont like their look that much.

Any false/true perc you add (a. ocellaris or a. percula) is going to be the same odds, neither of them naturally associate with haddoni in the wild. I did have a Sebae that took to a haddoni instantly, but if you like the designer clowns you may want to try another anemone type (unless you care more about the nem).

You can try another pair of false/true percs, but your chances are just that.... chance. Haddoni are also known to eat clownfish on occasion (including the species you listed) simply because they have a very potent set of nematocysts.

Over the years I have had the following hosted by S. haddoni.

Cinnamon -- A. melanopus
Saddleback -- A. polymnus (( natural ))
Clarkii -- A. clarkii (( natural ))
Orange skunk -- A. sandaracinos
Pink skunk -- A. perideraion
Perc -- A. percula -- were hosted by an M. doreensis, which I removed and replaced with an S. haddoni. The haddoni was still in my hand when they jumped into it.

They were wild caught -- Salomon Island

The haddoni was still in my hand when they jumped into it.

Honestly, there was about a second between when I put the haddoni into the water and them jumping into it. I hadn't even placed it on the sandbed before they were being hosted.

Also, one advantage, they have lost most of their black while in the LTA, and regained most of it while being hosted by the S. haddoni.

My Percs took over a year before they started hosting in my haddoni.
