D drillsar Active member Jan 16, 2008 #2 Well if your going for a DSB yes you need fine sand 4" to 6" for the nitrogen process. I recommend caribsea aragmax sugar sized sand or Ocean direct oolite but its better probably to get dry since its cheaper
