finger leather care?

just got a finger leather from a local reefer, im not exactly sure how to take care of it. the lady told me it needs to be in high-flow and medium light? as far as lighting where in the tank should i place it, top / bottom? its about in the middle of the rock right now. what TYPE of lighting does it need? it seems like it doesn't open up as much as when i first got it. everything else in the tank is thriving, kenya tree, ric, zoos, etc. parameters are perfect. info / opinions?
 
yes it is rubberbanded to a small rock, looks like it is about to break free of that tho. i think it may close up a lot because i come home to find it on the sand bed, i think the turbos keep plowing over it.
 
ok just making sure, didnt look like its dying just a little shrivelled up. i thought i had read that some people's just kinda do that for a little while then open back up fine .. thanks.

I have one that did that for about 3 months and then one day it just popped back open.
