Finger Leather looks slimy?

Hey guys. Just a quick question. My yellow sinularia has a slimy appearance to it. Does that mean it's shedding? One of my turbos knocked it off its perch into the sand bed earlier so I'm assuming it's pretty ****ed off, but I've never seen it slimy before. Up til now it was always fully extended and polyps were all open. Just looking for some input. My nitrates are a little high so I'll be doing a large water change tomorrow as my Rics and gonioporas are looking a little depressed. Zoos, GSPs, and Montis all look fine though.

It might be less than happy at the moment, but all sinularias a slimy. it's one of the easy ways to identify them from other soft corals. If it's not melting into a pile of mush you can usually assume it's fine.

They do that from time to time. It can be followed by a growth spurt but not always. Also a little nitrate is nothing to fear from a leather. They sort of like dirty water. If the slime gets really thick, just hit it with a turkey baster and the skin will blow off, then the polyps will start to come out again.

Alright thanks guys. I was starting to worry haha. I still am going to be doing a 25% wc when I get home from work as my rics are not opening fully and my gonioporas are not fully extended either. Plus a couple of my zoos are curled at the edges (like 5% of the polyps). I have been really busy lately so I haven't had time to wc. I'm looking into building a sump for the tank but I don't have a cabinet to put it in so I would be hearing cascading water 24/7...not entirely sure what I want to do yet.
