Finnex Digital Heater and Ranco Controller Owners

I've always had a slight variance between my 500 watt finnex digital heater and my dual stage ranco controller.

When i first got the heater, it read 80 and my ranco read 79. As the months pass the variance seems to increase. Just check last night and this morning, heater 84-85 and ranco 80.

Anyone have this problem, going to switch back to my wonbro proheat II.........

I have a Finnex 150w w/digital thermostat. I don't have a Ranco but I do have a small digital temp probe (Coralife) and when my Finnex says 82 my temp probe says 79 (point something) usually but I've seen times when they're only seperated by a degree too (Finnex always reads higher). I think most thermostats and controllers are going to have some variance between them. Knock on wood I haven't had the problems with my Finnex heater that others have (great! I just cursed myself...lol).
