Finnex Digital Heater

I recently (about 2 weeks ago) purchased a 300W Titanium Finnex Digital Heater (HMD-300W) through your store. When I hooked up the heater I noticed that the digital temperature read out read 82 when all 4 other of my thermometers read 76. I also noticed that if I set it at 76 it would never come on an would allow the tank to fall to 74. So essentially the termperature read out is way off scale. If I keep it set at 82 it does a fine job of maintaining the temperature at 82. However, this defeats the purpose of paying high dollar for a heater with a digital readout. I called premium aquatics this morning and their solution was to call Finnex directly and work this out. I have tried calling the number (for Finnex) 5 times now and have no luck reaching anyone. I realize that their is not likely any wrong doing on Premium Aquatics here, but I would like some help on making this issue right.

I think Ken at Finnex is out of the office today. I haven't been able to reach him either and he's usually very accessible. Finnex does ask that you troubleshoot with them first, as they have a more in depth knowledge of the problem. I honestly could not tell you how to calibrate the heater, or what might be causing the problem. Please let me know if you can't reach them Thursday and I'll try to reach them again for you.
