Fire place killing fish?

Need more help, so I went from a 75 gallon tank to a 120 a few months back. I used all the old rock, water and sand and added new sand and rock to. almost all the old fish made the move fine. The issue is adding new ones, I have add 5-6 yellow tangs, 1 Naso tang and 4 cardinals (not all at the same time) and over the few months the tangs all died within a few days. the cardinals made it over a few week period but died off one at a time. Water perimeters are all at good levels, so here is my spin, They all but one have died at night and most can not find in the rocks, the tank is in a smaller living room with a fire place. Each day we find fish missing or dead we think back and we have had a fire in the fireplace. I have tied opening the window and have also have added an air stone thinking the fireplace is changing the PH in the tank. any thoughts out there?

If it is, it would kill old fish as well as new additions.

What fish do you have currently that made the move?
