Fire Sale: 125g tear down

The cross brace on my 125g mixed reef has broken. The front of the tank is bowing seriously.
I am moving everything out of my 125g. All corals and fish.
I will try to sqeeze my corals into my 2-47g tanks, that I use to use as frag tanks and QT. The fish will go into the 360g and hope they survive.

I have lots of corals and I do not want to put most of it into my 360g and they won't fit in there anyway.

If you come over and do not find anything you want, I will pay you $10 for gas money. Most corals or frags of corals will be $5.
Live rock is $1.50/pound.

I am here most of the time. Come and get it.

Chuck in Tiffin.

Hey Chuck, Why not shore the brace up with a piece of acrylic and some stainless or nylon bolts? It could be stronger than new. You could brace it all together with a quick grip clamp then epoxy and bolt a new brace in. Unless you're really looking to get rid of it of course...

The tank is well over 10 years old.
I bought it used (very used) a couple of years ago as my first experience into saltwater.
It has served me well, but just do not trust it any longer.

Check out the Toledo (Trac) forum for additional details.

I am interested in the live rock you have for sale. Could you tell me how much is available and also how much algae growth? I am in the process of setting up another saltwater tank, and this may definitely help! Thanks!

I have several hundred pounds of cured live rock. Some with coraline, some without. Large pieces, medium size.
I am sure you can pick out pieces that will work in your new system.

sounds great! I would need probably at least 100lbs, and preferably with the coraline on it. could we set up a time for me to pick some up? thanks again

I still have lots of mushrooms, candy canes, pink birdsnest, yumas(rics), green milli, bubble coral, pagoda, green monti cap, brown monti cap. green star polyp, some zoas, some palys, brown staghorn, blue chalice, pink enchino, green enchino.

Lots of Live Rock, base rock, dry rock available, CHEAP

Tim,
There no room to drill any holes on the plastic rim.

Do you think I could use some Weld-On to fuse the plastic together again?

what are the sizes and price for the caps

I just break a piece off of the Monti Caps.
Usually $10 - $20 depending upon size.

Hey Chuck! Is this the tank in the living room???? OH NO!!! How are the fish getting along? OK, I hope!!
Man you are gonna have one stocked tank if you decide to put them in the big tank.
Please let me know if there's something I can do to help!! Everything I got during my last visit is doing well, including the copperband, he's settled in quite nicely.
Wonder if you could use some type of a strap ( like a tiedown) around the tank for now, if it still has water etc. in it, and put a new brace on the top. Someone had cut the center brace off of my 125g when I got it. Bought a new brace at Salty critter, and replaced it. It was a pain, but would beat moving everything.
Again, let me know if there's something I can do to help!!

Yes, it was the tank in the living room. It was my first saltwater/mixed reef tank and it had some really nice growth and the fish were all doing great.
We caught all of the fish and then tossed them in the 360g tank in the middle of the night. A week or so later, everybody is still doing well together, no major confrontations. Even the copperband butterfly that I kept is in the 360 with all the tangs and angels and is not being bothered by anybody. I am so very pleasently surprised.
I am going to try to fix the crossbrace on the 125g with some WeldOn-16. Going to keep what rock and corals I did not sell to hopefully start to restock the 125.
