I just found my fire shrimp on his back not looking good. I reached in and pulled him out with my hand.then I flushed him. I didn't want him to dye somewhere I couldn't get him. I had him about 6 days he was doing great eating and comeing out at times. I'm just wondering now. Could they act like that when molting or about yo molt. I hope I didn't jump the gun. He was a beauty too.moreover I would feel terrible if he wasn't even sick.

My fire shrimp generally hides and they hide before and after a molting.

Do you have caves or overhangs in the rock space?

Was there movement when you picked her up?

So far my fire shrimp has been the most hardy shrimp that I have purchased...has been though three moves and alive for over 5-6 years now.

I was thinking same should been hiding if molting.yeah I have prefect set up of caves and overhangs.he seem very hardy until today. He would come right out for food.he was cool. I'm a bit bummed.
