Fire shrimp

I have some blue leg dwarf hermit crabs, various snals, a porcelain crab, tuxedo urchin and some peppermint shrimp. My friend has some fire shrimp he got from someone he knows and he wants to give me some off them. Can I add them?

I would; can't be bad at all. The shrimp will hide most of the time, so keep that in mind.

Yep, you can add them. Get a good look at him before you stick him in your tank because you probably won't see him again! Mine pokes his head above the rock he stays behind every now and then but he never comes out in full view. My regular cleaner shrimp stays out quite a bit though.

I have two fire shrimp in my tank and they come out all the time, especially when I feed. They come down off their rock and wander around the sandbed catching whatever they can. Sounds like I got lucky... hope you do too!

Ditto. I have 2 in with 2 cleaners and they are visible most of the time and at feedings they become aggressive trying to compete with the fish for food. It's hysterical to watch.

Mine hides a bit but he comes out real good at feeding time. Of course.

Yeah I have one too and I never see him.
