Firefish Goby eating pods

I purchased a Firefish Goby form my LFS and the had him eating flake food I bought the flake food the were feeding to it and he will not eat it i cought him eating the pods i have in my tank and nothing else is this normal

I have this fish and find it to be a plantivore. loves flake food, mysis, etc. I have never seen it eat copepods.

I've got two and I've never seen them eat pods. They seem to like catching their food out of the water column. Mine eat mysis and Formula 2.

Mine will only eat cyclopeze. :<

I never fed my firefish in my 12g and when I did he showed no interest. I got curious and watched him more and like clockwork he nails an amphipod so my question was solved. I have no issues free food.

If it's a 12G, he will quickly eat all the pods.

He never exhausted the population for the three months he was in there.
