Firefish question

Has anyone ever successfully kept a firefish in an open topped aquarium? i hear they jump out so i was wondering if anyone has ever not had this problem.

I would place some sort of barrier to keep that from happening. I used this mesh material used in landscaping to seal of the back of my canopy.

I have tried firefish 3 times in closed top tanks and they always landed on the floor. They can jump through eggcrate, you really need a closed canopy. I love them and wish I could keep them, but I won't get anymore. :(

Moe, Larry and Curly have been with me for a year now and I have no top (and my bottom is bare as well).

I have 2 fire fish with no top on my 72 bow front. I have had them for 2 months and they are fine. I have never seen them try to jump out. I keep them fed well and they seem happy. Give it a try I think you would be fine.

hmmm i think ill take a gamble then, ill tell u how it works out. I seem to have luck with odd fish behaviour like my mandarin fish taht actually swims up to eat shrimp so maybe ill get a firefish that will not jump lol
