firefish too jumpy?

I've finally settled on my final stocklist for my 40g LPS-dominated reef, which has been fallow for going on eight or ten weeks now since ich wiped out most of my fish. survivors are moving over within the next week, and then I'll continue stocking fish and corals...

these are the guys I KNOW I will have:
longnose hawk and YWG (have, though not in the tank)
royal gramma
pair of trio of pajama cardinals
(plus my pair of skunk cleaner shrimp and maybe a future blood shrimp)

I'd like to include a firefish. I've kept them before, and know that they can be a bit timid, but honestly I've found their shyness to be over-exaggerated. plus, my hawk is a very calm fish, never bothers anyone, even in close quarters. I could add the firefish before the hawk, or even hold the hawk in a specimen container until the firefish is added and comfortable, if anyone thinks that would really help?

if its an impossibility, than maybe someone can think of a similar-looking fish that might fit in better?

Firefish for me were only skittish at first, or when I had loud timers click or similar activity.
A net top remedies carpet surfing.
Helfrichi's are another option, though not cheap.
Also a big fan of tailspot blenny's in that similar shape of fish.

Mine are really shy but not to the point that they dont come out. They just stay really close to their burrow. I think they do better as a pair then they do as singles.

yeah, those were closer to my experiences than the reports of fsh who wont come out/hide all day. I do think they seemed less shy with a pair, at least that was my experience with my pair in my old 75g vs the single in my old 20L.

i just added two fire and one purple... the purple hides most of the time the reds never hide... anti-jump is critical IMO cause it's not IF, but WHEN.

Adding another purple to see if that fixes.. but it's olny been 6 days so maybe he'll buck-up and grow a set.. ;)
