I started with 10 red and 8 purple 7 months ago, now I'm down to 5 red and 4 purple and still killing each other. Anyone that believes they have a pair is more than likely in for a surprise as they just don't seem to stay happy with each other for long.

Yep started with 15 ended up with 0 probably one of the dumbest things I have tried.. Never listen to friends that think it might work lol

What size tank do you have? Obviously that is a huge factor..

All of my research ive done says no matter tank size try to stick to small groups

I have a 150Gallon, bought 4 red and 1 Helfrichi over a year ago, it didn't take long for their to be just one red, but now him and the Helfrichi are best friends, they spend the entire day side by side
