First Anemone!

so this is my first anemone and i tried putting it in the spot i wanted and in no time it had moved from the spot into a cave under my live rock... how do i get the anemone to stay in one spot and what is the best way to handle these things? i hear they will sting you if picked up?

You don't move it...It's going to sit wherever in the tank it feels most content. If it doesn't sit still, then it's not happy in the tank.

Best thing to do place it in your tank and makes sure the foot attaches (make sure powerheads are covered so they don't become anemone salad) and then let them move to wherever they are going to be. They are going to find the place that suits their needs and as long as nothing changes they will stay there! As for handling them, I have Rose Bubble Tip Nem's, a Sebae Nem, and a Mini-Maxi Carpet Nem. They all stick to my hand, but I feel no sting when they touch me. Some people are different though and are more sensitive to the sting and I believe some Anemone's have a stronger "bite" to their sting than others (not exactly sure on that).

Find the rock with lot of holes. Hold it in one of the holes for few minnutes. Also they don't want to be direct flow of powerhead. They don't like strong flow.

Both my RBAT and GBTA love direct flow of powerhead. They are fighting for it actually. They are in fact next to each other without any gap.
