For the salt, I'd stick with the red sea salt. if you get corals definitely get the coral pro salt. I did one water change with the coral pro salt and my coralline is finally starting to grow after 3 months. I was originally using instant ocean. besides coral pro salt is the same price as reef crystals when reef crystals aren't on sale.
I agree to get an ATO right away as it is a PITA to top off every day. Found this out the hard way myself.
I also agree you don't need a pump that large. I have a mag 12 on my 125 gallon and it's too much I have to dial it back.
the aquaticlife fixture is amazing and has great features, but the stock bulbs SUCK. Get some ATI bulbs, some blue+, maybe aquablue and possibly purple+, if you want more blue go with actinic instead of aquablues. you won't regret it. I have the 4 bulb fixture and changed my bulbs already lol.
if you want a cheaper, good skimmer, check out the eshopps new cone skimmers. I have one of their original skimmers and it works really great and I can only imagine the cone skimmers are even better
as for the powerheads, I'd go for the koralia evolutions. The new models don't have the problems the older ones had. I have 2 1400s in my tank and it's plenty of flow. you could probably go with 4 and be set.
