I finally finished cycling my tank. So bought some coral attached to rock but I do not know what it is? Please identify. Also what do you think of my rock formation?

I've seen those commonly called yellow polyps. Its in the zoanthus family. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Rockwork looks good, keep it up. $15 wasn't that bad.........be prepared to pay more money later for some awesome colored corals.

Nice tank...going to look awesome when you get it loaded up with some more corals...

Very good buy...hopefully they will spread for you.

My theory on buying corals, is pay little, get small & let them grow.

Am in this for the long term so no need to pay big bucks for a large specimen.

what should i feed? upon reading a little more on it, i see that they change color to more of a yellow. does anyone have pics?

Give them some time to adjust and they will look a lot better. I picked up mine for 30 bucks about 22 polyps when i got it home i kinda thought I got rooked but after a couple of weeks they just exploded. Now ther is over 70 polyps . they are the most prolific coral that i have bought so far I might have to isolate them a little I can see how they could take over a tank.
I figure I can make some money back soon selling frags back to the store.
this pic is a few weeks old!

I picked up a rock of these for $15 awhile ago. They seem to be just happy with what I have been feeding my tank regularly, no special care.

Agreed, I just noticed that when I feed my fish cylopeeze that every single polyp starts to close and digest but when i use other larger foods only a few seem to catch anything.

ap24 newbie, just found an old photo and thought you would appreciate a before and after photo to see how fast these guys grow. this is two months growth

Great price

Great price

Those are definently zoos!!!
Those on that piece of rock for 15 is a good deal if not just a fair price...

Tank looks nice!

Like what everyone else said, it's a pretty good buy and pretty easy to care for. Good choice for a first coral.

My 2 cents for future purchases will be to research before you buy....you will save more money that way. But I definitely know how those impulse buys will be!
