Hi All,

Just got an encrusting monti frag and am thinking of getting a digitata frag today. Anything I should know about acclimation? Can I just put them in place (high in the tank and high flow) or do I need to start them low and move them up slowly?

Also, could I get two digitata frags of different colors, put them next to each other so they grow into each other over time?

Thanks,

I've put side by side a red digi and a green one. They grew just fine with no issues russell.
Had luck with them placed, both in the middle of the tank as to higher spots too.
One of the easiest corals you can start with, imho
High flow is something nice for the majority of sps corals

No special procedure that is "a must do",regarding their acclimation.
Maybe temperature wise.

Every encrusting monti i had was a pita though.
Very aggressive coral and always killed the sps it came in contact with.
That's only just my personal experience off course.Other guys might have/had no problems with that.
So whenever i couldn't resist to one,i tried to place it at a rather isolated spot or rock,so it could be easily controlled:thumbsup:
