Well, it had to happen sooner or later. I woke up this morning to find my condy slurped into a powerhead. I'm giving him a little while to make sure, but it doesn't look good. No ammonia in the DT, fortunately.

Within about 20 minutes of turning off the powerhead, the condy seems to be bouncing back a bit. His tentacles had drawn in completely, but they are starting to puff back out. He's still attached to the intake screen from the powerhead, but I'm hoping he will work himself free--I tried gentle massage to no avail.

He is a hardy specimen, so I'm not giving up just yet. Any words of wisdom from someone who has been down this road?

I'd recommend wc and running carbon to help mitigate any stinging cells that have been released into the tank. It hasn't happened to me before but it seems like the thing to do. Good luck.

That happened to me with a RBTA. I let it work itself out. It survived and then split in two. Both halves survived.

Stupid nems, always getting caught in powerheads.... A fresh batch of carbon wouldn't be a bad idea, but if it didn't get pureed, you most likely will be fine.

Much to my surprise, this little guy is recovering beautifully. He's back in the DT and seems to have really taken off since being restored to his clarkii clown tankmate. He's eating and filling back out nicely.
