Hey guys,

Just got my first favia. I have had it on the bottom of my tank for a week now and was trying to figure out where I want to place it. I want to have it on my rock work so that it encrusts instead of just balling up. I have a 45 gallon tank with T5 lighting. I was thinking of putting it up about half way up. Is this a good spot? Also any tips on feeding and flow? Thanks for the tips just want to keep it happy.

i have the same tank they do really good on the bottom with t5 you get alot of light so placement in the tank anywhere would be fine also feed 1 time a week i use cyclopeeze

I have a 50g with (6)T5 and would not dare put it half way. They are incredibly easy to bleach with these lights. I would advise no higher than the bottom 1/3 and partially shaded or indirect light if placed at the highest point in the bottom 1/3 of the tank.
All but 1 of mine on the sand and still recieving only partiall to no direct light. I do have one at the higest point, but it's totally shaded under a powerhead and layers of acropora recieving no direct light:cool:
