First large tank (284g) what do you think on price?

Creating my first large tank..

I'm planning on a 72 x 30 x 30 tank made out of 3/4 starfire
glass for the front/sides. I will have a Coast to Coast overflow on the
back with a smooth wier, euro bracing, etc. It will have 5 holes drilled
in the overflow, 2 for returns and 3 for the drainage system.

Very Similiar to Glass Reef.com's tank (but smaller).

I'm getting quotes around 2900 to 3000 delivered from 2 places.
What do you guys think? Rasonable for this size tank? Or should I
do some more shopping?

i would keep looking, maybe... 60 x 36 x 30 281g cost me $1200, but not starfire and 1/2" glass except bottom 3/4". it is euro braced top and bottom with double braced top...my builder quoted about 400 more for starfire and 100 more delivered.

I usually figure about $100 per gallon for a custom tank depending on features and builder. I would say you are right on from my experience.

I think your $100 per gallon is waaaay off. If that were true, then a 200 gallon tank would cost $20,000!

good price...depending on builder. I had a 72x30x22 rimless 3/4" glass made from miracles for $2700 shipped to my door. that price seems reasonable.
