First Ocellaris Fry

That's cool, I wish her good luck with her project!

There is a guy looking for like 20 clown babies on the Anemone and Clownfish forum, I told him to look you up. If he hasn't if you're interested check out the thread and see if you can sell him some of your selects. He's being quoted 40-50 bucks each which is ridiculous.
 
Thanks, figuring out what to do with all the fish is definitely a concern.

I really do like the clownfish harem tanks, I gave six fish to my buddy for a mini harem.

Mini harem is very happy. They watch me enter the room like puppies - looking for some food. Constantly eating. I will have them in a clown only tank that I set up this fall. I also may move 1 into my DT to hopefully mate up with my solo clown. Debating how much longer to wait before trying that.

I put on a small hang on back filter today. Has a sponge over the intake to keep them from getting sucked up.

Feeding the ones I have from your first raise flake and frozen. They are really hungry little guys but eating just like grown fish now!
 
First Ocellaris Fry

Rough fish day.

I went to turn the light on in the morning and saw that about a third of the little guys were on the bottom, tipped a little to the side and gasping for breath. The Amonia badge was ok, but I knew they needed a big water change. I changed 4 gallons (40%) which is all I had. Put another airstone in, and measured the NO3.
It was off the chart! Never saw one that color before.

Also, I thought I'd just splashed water around, but after cleaning up, I notice the other 10 gallon tank is leaking slowly!

I started mixing another batch of saltwater, and went off to Petco for a bigger tank.

They were all still alive but struggling, so now I had another 5 gallons of saltwater ready and I changed all 5 (50%). I took the better part of the day to mix and heat water for the new tank.
I acclimated them and got them transferred in by evening. This morning they're looking tons better. Lost three fish, but could have been much worse.
Should have gotten them into a bigger tank sooner.

Crazy day!

The father is Ocellaris (orange and white), and as they get older they will darken to become "Mocha" color. It may take 12-14 months before they arrive at the final color.
