i just got it out of the mail.. don't really know how to use it yet lol.. its a Canon S1si .. i knows its not the top of the line but its what i could afford.. hopefully i will figure out how to take better pics.. i know they arn't that good but just thought i would share lol.. any advice would be great! ( like new lense or anything)

Those are excellent- especially since you aren't even familiar with the camera yet.
Take a look at the sticky thread at the top of the forum- there are links to all sorts of helpful articles. You could get some close-up filters [as opposed to "lenses") but at the beginning you'll be better off learning about the camera and mastering everything it can do with the lens it came with. Then, once you're familiar with what it can do you can decide if you want to buy other accessories. A tripod is a good investment right off the bat though.

can u id the "flowers" in the first pic.. they become larger if u click on them.. someone in the new to hobby fourm said they are green star polyps is this correct? and if they are im really amazed they are growing under 30watts of light lmao

Yeah- Green Star Polyps [gsp]. You can see in the picture that they are whitish- they should be more green but because of the low light they have lost some color probably.

heres a few more.. so far really happy with the camera since i only paid a little over a 100 bucks for it! thanks for the info guys!!
not sure what the 2nd pic. is .. its growing on the back of a few rocks.. started out white and when i put some 50/50 bulbs its changing color now? any ideas?

Actually, that's not entirely accurate. Indeed, most GSP is in fact greenish...neon green or sort of a metallic green or even greenish-yellow. But there are star polyps that are not green. My wife has a patch of GSP *and* SP in her tank. Those in the picture look just like her SP....strong purple mat with white polyps. They tend to have slightly curled tendrils too. A very nice change from standard GSP for some folks.
